Songs by Purcell, Schubert, Duparc, Fauré, Gurney, Butterworth, Macmillan and Hahn

The internationally acclaimed tenor John Mark Ainsley together with his pianist Joseph Middleton will perform a wide range of songs: the 19th century content of the first part include Schubert’s Die Erl König contrasts vividly with the 20th century second half, which includes a collection of 1st World War songs by Ivor Gurney and George Butterworth
